The Da Vinci Xi system
This state-of-the-art robotics platform is equipped with three components that communicate with one another throughout your procedure:
- The surgeon console: This is where the surgeon is stationed to control the robotic arms and instruments.
- The patient cart: This part holds the instruments and camera
- The vision cart: This provides the surgeon with 3D imaging of the surgical site.
The surgeon accesses the surgical site through the patient’s abdomen or chest. The robotic platform’s 3D imaging magnifies the view of the site by 10X the view of the human eye. This magnification allows the surgeon to precisely guide the four dexterous robotic arms.
